OLA is a dual-purpose object for learning and developing skills in areas such as electronics, programming or internet of things.

On the one hand it is an interactive lamp and on the other hand it is a game and learning tool.

PLAY mode is the most accessible and designed for daily use as a lamp or decorative lighting object. This mode is controlled by an app installed on your mobile. The user can customize the color, intensity, create patterns of color and movement, draw small icons and letters. The user can also share their configurations with the rest of the OLA users.

This mode is focused on user learning. The plug & play interface allows the lamp to be connected quickly and easily to the user's computer, being able to reprogram it through the Arduino integrated development environment. In addition, the design of the lamp allows the user to open the lamp, become familiar with its components and transform or extend it. The controller board designed ad hoc for OLA, allows adding new modules such as motion sensors, temperature, etc. The board has been developed using the WIFI module ESP8266 as a basis, which allows controlling it from any point with an internet connection. Ola is open to countless modifications by the user.

The objective of OLA is for the user to start programming small lines of code, depending on the level of each one, and end up transforming OLA into a different project, applying the knowledge acquired during the process. The HACK mode can be divided into phases or screens as if it were a platform game.

The team of Frizzy Electronics are in charge of the development and production of all the electronic components of OLA.

All the development of the project is made under the premises of Open Source and Open Hardware under a Creative Commons 4.0 license, freely used to modify, manufacture and distribute.
